Arab Society for Fungal Conservation Award

The award of ASFC is the Medal of Honor and Lifetime Membership.

General Requirements:
(1) An individual may receive the same ASFC Medal only once;
(2) Self-nomination is not allowed;
(3) Nominators must be three of well known mycologists and at least one of them is a council member of the ASFC and/or AfriMA; and
(4) Nominees who are not chosen for the prize, may be re-nominated for up to two additional terms (within the year limit linked to the specific award).
Documents required:
The folder should contain:
(1) Nomination of candidates consists of a letter of nomination, two letters of support from mycologists familiar with the candidate, and a current curriculum vitae of the candidate.
(2) Incomplete application will be rejected automatically.
Application process:
(1) The deadline of application is the 31 May each year.
(2) Nominations should be sent to the ASFC Awards Manager (teroj.mohamed@uod.ac) and Chairman of ASFC (ahmed_abdelazeem@science.suez.edu.eg), who will forward them to the ASFC's Award Committee.
(3) The Committee determines the winners, and will forwarded to the ASFC Vice-President and President by 20 August each year or the next conference of the ASFC.
(4) Winners will be notified by the President of the ASFC and encouraged to attend the next year conference.
